Description of tank items (such as greenery, hidey spots, etc)
both tanks have a similar set-up. 50-50 split sand and EE. the sand side has the water and food dishes and is the cool/dry side. the EE side has plants and a hidey log. the larger tank that i will be adopting into also has a turtle ramp that the hermies seem to prefer sleeping under. each tank has a moss pit in a big shell. i am working on a 2nd level made of knitted hemp but my crabs are not big climbers so it may become a spot to lodge the iso tank if no one uses it once it's up.

What foods do you feed your hermit crabs?
staples are green and purple lettuce, peanut butter, banana, krill (frozen fresh), cooked yam, honey, organic rolled oats, grated carrot in virgin olive oil, fresh apple..i rotate this menu so that these are offered over about a one week period, then start again.

in season: raspberries, dandelion, clover, rose petals, oak bark treats: grapes, fresh coconut
both crabitats have moss pits and cholla logs
occasionals are things like cucumber, sprouts, green pepper, steamed brocolli...whatever i am eating that is safe for them i do keep a dried food available too, just in case i am missing any nutrients. i've noticed fred goes thru phases of eating dried food altho more and more he is sticking to fresh food.

Please list the calcium rich foods you offer:
crushed egg shells!! forgot those in my food list. i put those in every few days. i think maybe the krill and brocolli too? i also have one of those cuttle bones but no one seems to like it.

Please list the protein rich foods you offer:
krill and peanut butter. i've offered steak and pork and chicken but i'm not sure if there was any interest in these meats.

i have not had hermit crabs for long (since apr/09) and understand if you think i should become more experienced before i adopt more. i would like to eventually have 2-3 small crabs in each tank. i am looking for matches to fred's size. (see chewing the choya, fred got big...he's still considered a small crab i'm sure)

I am a meticulous crab owner and I constantly watch both my main tank and my iso's conditions. I try to as perfectly as I can match the crabs natural environment.
